What makes the 2010 MY Range Rover and Range Rover Sport stand out are major improvements technically with powerful new engines enhanced driving dynamics and some new technological introductions in the interior.

Range Rover Review

There is no doubt that the launch of the 2010 models makes it very difficult to challenge this British model for the title of the world’s very best luxury SUV.

Little wonder that Range Rover executives are so confident of strong sales in major markets worldwide as well as at home. There is no doubt that the 2010 MY Range Rover and Range Rover Sport its’ price notwithstanding, has re-emphasized this makes’ reputation as a very capable luxury SUV.

The interior boasts of a world first in the dual-view touch screen infotainment technology that allows the driver and front seat passenger to view different images on the same screen at the same time.

Then the dials and instrumentation display are all computer generated images on a 12-inch TFT (Thin Film Transistor) screen but look just like conventional instrumentation on the dashboard of any car.

Then there are the five digital cameras that provide almost 360-degree visibility perfect for tight maneuvers. There is even an option to zoom in. The two petrol V8 engines developed specifically for Range Rovers put lots of power and reliability under the hood of this beauty.

The 5.0-litre supercharged engine has 375kW of power and 625Nm of torque. What has convinced us at New Car Shopper that Range Rover even with its’ price tag has surpassed it’s close competitors, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz ML-Class were the updates in virtually every department from technologies in brakes to every other technical feature under the hood. What has taken place here is a total face lift.
